Product Description

The Caldera RIP version 15 has been discontinued and superseded by the Caldera RIP - Version 19.

Developed for grand format, high-production and multiple device environments.

CLIENT-SERVER ARCHITECTURE

Purchase one main license and share it with all computers (Mac and Linux) in your network. A Client computer requests different devices in your network to compute jobs, while a Server computer executes the requests. Add as manyClients and Servers as you need to drive an unlimited number of devices.

New Version 15 features

Preview

With the Preview, we have made job verification and production management a lot easier. Within the CalderaSpooler and CalderaJobs, open a preview in full screen and zoom in to easily identify the jobs inside the nest and check the marks before printing to avoid unwanted errors and waste.

Wide Contour Offset

With Wide Contour Offset, benefit from an increased range of Cut Contour offsets (from [-10mm, +10mm] to [-100mm,+100mm]). This feature greatly improves the accuracy of the cutting process on shrinking or distorting textile substrates.

White Under Marks

The White Under Marks feature has been designed to improve cutting accuracy on all types of non-white media. When printing on dark, transparent or metallic substrates, and if white ink is available on the printer,CalderaRIP adds white ink under and around the cutting marks and codes to improve the cutter detection.

CalderaCare features of V15

SmartImport

SmartImport can automatically extract meta-data from the file name, such as the number of copies, targeted printer or presets in order to speed up job submission of traditional file‑based workflows. Moreover, Scale, Height and Width settings can be applied to ease the production of your wide-format projects.

PrintProof

The PrintProof feature helps print companies to improve their validation workflow by giving them the possibility to export a TIFF proof of their jobs after the ripping process. These proofs can be used for final approval from their customers before production to avoid unwanted media and ink waste.

CalderaJobs - Filter by Date

The CalderaJobs interface has been improved to let users filter their jobs by date. In just a few clicks, easily find any job to reprint or archive it, or even archive a specific day, week or month of your production.

HARDWARE ACCELERATION

Hardware acceleration lets you take advantage of your computer’s full capacity to speed up RIP and print times. Thanks to the OpenCL™ technology, all central processing units (CPU) and graphics cards (GPU) are in sync with your production.

INKPERFORMER

For each job, the best combination of inks is calculated in order to reduce the overall quantity of ink used while maintaining the quality of your prints. Reducing the amount of ink used allows faster drying time and cuts down on production costs.
